I did the cover for this first cassette before I had even recorded it (I wish I could say that this ill-advised practice was unusual for me), thinking that I was probably just going to record these sort of things under my given name. After some thought, I decided that Mall Mutants was too good a moniker to waste on less than 10 minutes of sound, but my nigh-impossible-to-pronounce handle would do just fine to that end. My proudest bit on this cassette is in the middle of Side A, wherein I play solo comb. There’s no real concept here, short of offering an entry point into a world that had little to do with what 95% of what I’d done prior.
