about

From CHILD/MALL MUTANTS split
(DUST018, edition of 48)

A spiritual meditation making reference to tenets (such as they are) of the Tao, chance operations (cf. John Cage), sound poet Sten Hanson, and ex-girlfriends, the result being a bizarro, heavily manipulated nonverbal vocal piece that veers into some pretty gnarled glottal territory in points, like a pitched-down Joan La Barbara (minus Morton Subotnick's weiner). If you listen closely, I’m actually crying somewhere in the middle. The CHILD side of this tape (CHILD being the occasional noise/abstract side gig of world/astral traveler Fred Thomas, currently also doing time in City Center and Swimsuit, among others) is available for download elsewhere on the FM DUST bandcamp page.
